Red Bull Formula Una

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 by Anna

We just relaunched the Red Bull Formula Una Flash site and freshened it up with animated vector illustrations and a more girly-like atmosphere. Again we took care to support browser back-buttons and deeplinking.

Expect the site to fully come alive in March when the girls apply to cheer up at the GPs of the Formula 1 and do their best to become the Formula Una of one of the 17 countries participating.

Papervision 3D: FLV spreading around walls

Thursday, January 25th, 2007 by Luis

Finally I had a little bit of time to play around with Papervision 3D, a fantastic 3d engine for Flash.

At the moment I couldn’t play with the AS3 version because some conflicts I have between Flex builder and Eclipse, but so far the AS2 version of the engine is quite impressive.

I’ve been trying to spread a FLV around the walls of a cube, it took me around 15 minutes to do it, easy, clean and fantastic performance.

Wii like music!

wii tunes

So you want to stream to your music into your living room, but can’t afford a media-center? If you own a Nintendo Wii, here is the solution: DOT.TUNES is a server application which allows you to stream your music to any place connected to the internet. It works on every browser with Adobe Flash support, so you can connect via your pda, mobile phone, psp, wii etc.

If you are too stingy to buy a lincense for DOT.TUNES there is a free alternative aswell, called WiiAudio, which is in it’s beta stage right now. Happy listening!

Wii Browsing

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 by Carsten Schneider

Yesterday I finally managed to get my Wii online and immediately installed Opera (after downloading R-Type). Quite a few websites get now Wii-friendly to work on the low resolution, with big chunky buttons and larger type.

Wiiflow for example has a collection of Flashgames, easily accessible - best of all, it has Zookeeper!

Finetunes is a music player specifically designed for the Wii, with a cover-flow-like interface.

And from Winksite you can download a WordPress plug-in to get your blog Wii-ready.

Metrofarm’s Berlin Wall

A Berlin Wall scale model we got from Metrofarm, cast out of steel-reinforced concrete. The concrete used is so fine that even the cracks look the right scale:

Have a look at their amazing concrete furniture, too.
