We’ve recently completed the website for the German/Italian property investment firm Stofanel Investment AG.
A subtle use of Flash and Papervision 3D creates an abstract, dreamy and atmospheric paper space to reflect the company’s vision of a harmonious relationship between nature, architecture, community and self.
The corporate identity we developed in collaboration with yippieyeah is based on botanic patterns (Phyllotaxy) as you would find in the growth patterns of sun flowers for example - it underlines the companies dedication to nature and community.
Regular readers will be pleased to find the site equipped with our usual technical treatment: fully dynamic, browser-button- and deeplink enabled (thanks to SWFAddress) and HTML-version for search engine optimization.

Shortly after introducing the world’s thinnest notebook Apple is surprising us with another superlative, the world’s thinnest CD rack - the new iShelf touch. It’s ultra thin, and ultra unlike anything else.
Now you can really show off your CD collection, not just on your tiny iPod touch screen or your notebook, but mounted on the wall in your stylish living room.

Hyperousia is a Californian streetwear brand that has just launched a series of t-shirts designed in cooperation with Shin Tanaka, who had exhibited his work in our Berlin office before.
Hyperousia is a foundation that wants to help poor children through streetwear fashion. The kiku flower featured on the shirt symbolizes death and pays tribute to those kids who died from poverty and struggle.
You get a Spiky Baby included when you purchase the tees online.

Check out their online store on http://www.hyperousia.com/

We’ve recently launched the online portfolio of photographer Uli Heckmann who specializes in car photography and portrait / fashion photography.
An interface that transports letter masking into the 21st century, making use of full browser-size images and an ant-trail overlay navigation gives the site a fashion feeling which is the Uli Heckmann edge to car photography.

The next Red Bull F1 team strikes back with a brand new website. Our intention was to involve the user in such a way that he is really feeling close to what is happening on the race track.
The relaunch shows the usual Less Rain tuning (friendly Search Engine Optimization (SEO) , Alternate HTML version optimized for ScreenReader, Back Button, Deeplinking).
Sound design by Taeji Sawai, straight from Japan.

PingMag has a nice (and long) article on character design on Japanese packaging.
My favourite characters are Peco-chan (pictured) and Poco-chan:

This chocolate used to be sold in tin cans, and Peco-chan and Poco-chan aparently got their names from the sound the tin lid makes when being pressed (peco peco, poco poco).
Here’s a link to PingMag’s flickr archive of characters, and a previous article on Strawberries (!) in packaging design.
